Well, the hair was certainly the indicator of the formal atmosphere during the closing ceremony of the event. Starting from the classic tight bun spotted on Uma Thurman and elegant hair updo of French pageant beauty Marine Lorphelin, who was accompanied by Alain Delon. Nicole Kidman was wearing another sophisticated and intricate hair updo, with plentiful braids and twists.

However, the ceremony was not devoid of the loose hairstyles, as they were quite evident on various guests, including Jury member Zhang Ziyi and French actress Ludivine Sagnier.

Now makeup was not really extravagant, rather subtle with only classy red lips to stand out, like that seen on Nicole Kidman and Saadet Aksoy. The most provocative makeup was spotted on Rossy de Palma who opted for a cat eye makeup with glossy dark plum lipstick.

Now since the makeup and hairstyles were rather restricted during the closing ceremony of Cannes Festival, accessories went over the top: starting from incredible leaf earrings worn by Zhang Ziyi to heavy necklace and earrings with a blue stone worn by Laetitia Casta. Of course that is not to mention her preposterous feather bolero that she was wearing over her black gown.
